What is this site all about?

All sorts of stuff actually. I’m a “creative problem solver” and I love breaking design rules just to see what happens. Sometimes these things work. Sometimes they don’t. But both are valuable. So this is a site where I write about all the successes and the successful fails.

Why “Successfully Fail?”

One thing I have noticed a lot is how we view failing a bad thing. But it’s not. GIVING UP after failing is a bad thing. Failing is a key step in the journey to success. Lets start treating it that way.

Who are you?

I’m tracy apps, (yes, apps is really my last name) and I have been working professionally as a creative since 2000. While formally educated in art, I started teaching myself HTML in 1996. I don’t fit in normal boxes, and I would have it no other way. I love breaking design & communication rules, because as soon as you tell me I can’t do something, I want to do just that. I also am determined to make “hammock web development” a thing.
